Return to Saint Orla of the Seventh Line

A.S. 132 Metz Flood
The seal held; the mechanic died; Records deducted twenty-three of the living
Orla's repair saved the low ward of old Bastion-Metz and cost her life. The rescue ledger entered 712; Records allowed 689. I assign the flood to A.S. 132.
Codex Ref. VII.8.10-033

Bastion-Metz
Behind the Line, the water is the enemy that files no declaration.
Metz's historical rear supply-bastion, where Orla completed Seal Seven beneath rising water. The low ward survived; the mechanic did not. Its founding is unrecorded, and its present condition remains uncertified.
Codex Ref. II.4.09-176

Boundary Litany
The hymn that teaches seals to remember where the world ends
Operational hymn for gasket, wax, flange, drum-mouth, and pressure door: the Boundary Litany makes matter confess where obedience stops.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.85-152

Canticle of Measured Fire
The bell failed. The voice kept the measure.
Saint Orla sang this Canticle through a burning Danube hymn-gallery, holding the guns in measure after the bell fouled. Rites counts forty minutes. The score is absent from my file.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.16-446

Corven Aul
Three ledgers, no sermon, and a pension left pending
Corven Aul, Master Seal Mechanic at Bastion-Przemyśl, shortened cleansing on four repairs before the A.S. 164 Split-Ring Disaster. The commission preserved his error; his household pension remained unresolved.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-758

Field Pragmatists
The illegal hand that keeps the corridor warm
Field Pragmatists are the Engineering-preferred faction of the Gasket-Hymn Mechanic craft, preserving life by bending rites the Ledger later pretends were whole.
Codex Ref. XII.2.04-004

Hymn-Gasket Master
The hand that answers for the crew, the seal and the sheet
A Hymn-Gasket Master commands the crew, guards the nine movements, and answers for every stamped repair. When pressure and paperwork disagree, seniority means signing for both.
Codex Ref. XII.2.04-003

Line-Purists
The clean rite card, the whole verse, and the corpse beside the gauge
Line-Purists are the Doctrine-favoured faction of the Gasket-Hymn Mechanic craft, preserving the full nine movements even when rupture makes obedience murderous.
Codex Ref. XII.2.04-003

Mechanics' Widows' Cooperative
The printer supplied a bride; the widows returned the mechanic
An A.S. 201 survey of the Cooperative's formal complaint over Saint Orla's devotional portrayal. A Metz printer supplied a smiling bride; the widows secured a correction.
Codex Ref. XII.2.04-005

Operational Classification 7-G
Nine movements, forty-three dead, and a licence to be blamed
Issued after forty-three deaths in A.S. 164, Operational Classification 7-G licensed Gasket-Hymn Mechanics, fixed nine repair movements, and taught the tribunal to call missing paperwork sabotage.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.07-164

Orla-Seven Torque Pattern
The seal may answer; the auditor need not listen
Orla-Seven governs the final tightening of critical hymn-gaskets: three light passes, a listening pause, two opposing seats, and a quarter-turn that must satisfy both flange and file.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.07-201

Orla's Torque Key
Eight numbers, two affirmations, one doubt, and no permission to lift the bell
The torque key attributed to Saint Orla rests under glass in the Metz Ash Vault: eight etched numbers, a blackened handle, two affirmations and one doubt. The seal held; the custody chain is less obliging.
Codex Ref. III.2.04-132

Saint Orla the Brass-Throated
Hold the measure, even when the deck burns and the bell lies
Occupational patron of Shrine-Deck crews, Cadence Callers, Choir Runners, and fire-harmed singers; useful because she kept measure while burning.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-143

Sixth Canticle of Industry
The hymn that makes wax remember its superiors
The Sixth Canticle of Industry teaches purity wax to remember obedience, which is to say it lets Bells hear fraud, Doctrine name sin, and Tithes price both.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.86-178

Split-Ring Disaster
Forty-three dead, ninety seconds saved, and a profession born in steam
The A.S. 164 Split-Ring Disaster at Bastion-Przemyśl killed forty-three workers and transformed gasket repair into a licensed, audited, sabotage-adjacent profession.
Codex Ref. VII.8.10-032
