Referencing Processional Arsenal — The Sacred Ledger

Armoury
Where Strasbourg stores the war it insists will not arrive
Strasbourg's Armoury keeps rifles, powder, breech-blocks, parade steel, and very careful ledgers for a city that claims itself safe. Twenty thousand weapons wait more honestly than their owners speak.
Codex Ref. II.2.09-201
Bureau of Ordnance
No violence is lawful until inventory permits it
The Bureau of Ordnance blesses powder, counts shells, seals fuel, restrains officers, and teaches matter to obey violence only after the Ledger consents.
Codex Ref. VIII.2.11-090
Cadence Reforms A.S. 95
The decree that put the bell above the barrel and made obedience audible
A.S. 95 reforms that made choir cadence govern shrine-platform batteries, created off-measure discharge as a punishable sin, and gave the bell legal teeth.
Codex Ref. VII.2.10-095
Canticle of Measured Fire
The bell failed. The voice kept the measure.
Saint Orla sang this Canticle through a burning Danube hymn-gallery, holding the guns in measure after the bell fouled. Rites counts forty minutes. The score is absent from my file.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.16-446
Canticle of Restraint
A locked magazine and eleven hours of unreasonable vocal endurance
Reported sung for eleven hours by Sister Margit during the Pressburg Mutiny following the A.S. 95 Cadence Reforms. The crew surrendered; the composer and score remain outside the Ledger.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.16-447
Cathedral Arsenal Office
The warmth has witnesses; the charter does not
Strasbourg office holding the brass pitch-pipe attributed to Saint Orla the Brass-Throated and sharing Shrine-Deck patronage with the Shrine Admiral. The warmth has witnesses; the charter does not.
Codex Ref. IV.3.12-518
Chorus Absolvers
Elite. Bound. Sung until the relic burns.
The Chorus Absolvers are Orison's Elite choir in chains: chest-mounted vox-relics broadcast hymns that rattle teeth and rupture lungs until the relics burn. The Bureau calls the cost proportionate.
Codex Ref. VIII.5.12-613
Collapse at Prague Gate
When the hymn died at the teeth, the machine answered itself
A.S. 147 shrine-platform catastrophe in a Silence Dome near Prague Gate, where mute cadence, contradictory slates, and inward mortars made comfort lethal.
Codex Ref. VII.8.10-147
File 88-K/Shrine
The open file assigns drills
File 88-K/Shrine holds Prague Gate's A.S. 147 catastrophe under competing seals. Active at A.S. 201, it releases safety drills, withholds the lower-hold extract, and finds blame harder to file than the dead.
Codex Ref. VII.8.88-201
First Floating Cathedral Burn
Count the powder before blessing the deck above it
Early A.S. 70s Danube shrine-barge fire that killed forty-one, scattered hymnals downriver, and birthed mandatory shot-ledger discipline.
Codex Ref. VII.8.10-070
Kelen Chain-Yard Misalignment
Six guns missed the measure; the river received the blame
An A.S. 201 survey of the undated Kelen shrine-barge failure: six guns defied the choir beat and split the central deck seam. War blamed the river; Engineering brought bolts.
Codex Ref. VII.2.11-201
Ledger Reforms A.S. 165
No round without a name-bearing hand
A.S. 165 shrine-platform reform after the Bastion-Irongate grapeshot discharge, requiring each loaded round to bear a Powder Acolyte's name.
Codex Ref. VII.2.10-165
Litany of Saint Barrach
The crew died; the fourth petition kept speaking
At Wormwood Hill in A.S. 163, the Litany of Saint Barrach slowed by half a beat and repeated its fourth petition in a foreign voice. The crew died; the prayer continued.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.96-163
Metronome Bell
The seal says whether; the bell says when
Under the A.S. 95 Cadence Reforms, a small brass bell governs shrine-platform volleys. A missed toll stays missed; the Cadence Caller signs for the failure.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.95-095
Miracles and Sorcery
Both crack Creation; only the paperwork differs
The Bureau insists miracles and sorcery are opposites. The mechanism, as Drax reluctantly confirms, is identical. The source determines canonisation or burning. The paperwork is different. The world pays either way.
Codex Ref. VI.3.01-001
Pilgrim's Ladder
The prototype land-ship that taught artillery to process, pray, and correct crowds by recoil
Prototype diesel shrine-artillery land-ship commissioned in A.S. 110, source of the Processional Arsenal and every later sermon delivered by mortar.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.34-002
Pilgrim's Ladder Commission
The year the Synod accepted a machine before counting its dead
The A.S. 110 acceptance of Pilgrim's Ladder made choir-timed artillery an institution. Approval came before the demonstration's dead were counted.
Codex Ref. VII.2.10-110
Saint Bartholomew of the Breech
Keep the hinge honest before prayer becomes shrapnel
Saint Bartholomew of the Breech guards shrine-artillery crews, not with comfort, but with latch, ledger, black palm, and the holy refusal of hidden powder.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-070
Saint Orla the Brass-Throated
Hold the measure, even when the deck burns and the bell lies
Occupational patron of Shrine-Deck crews, Cadence Callers, Choir Runners, and fire-harmed singers; useful because she kept measure while burning.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-143
Shrine-Deck Crew
Bell, chalk, and brass — the three sacraments of the man who is too useful to die quickly
Mobile artillery and choir crews of the Synod's shrine-platforms — firing on the psalm-beat, logging every shell in a shot-ledger the Bureau calls the platform's soul, and maintaining chalk rings while the metronome bell keeps the guns from going hollow.
Codex Ref. XII.42.01-001
The Balkans
The wound that taught Europe to count its bleeding
The Balkan wound-region, broken first by the Eastern Silence and the Sundering, then divided into Synod margins, contested corridors, Sin-General dominions.
Codex Ref. II.6.05-045
The Vales of Stagnance
Syrion's country, where geography sits down and refuses audit
Syrion's Vales are the old Shipkan wound made landscape: fog, soft clocks, preserved villages, patient armies, and roads that return with fewer years.
Codex Ref. VI.2.04-004
