Dormition Canticle
Four bars, two deaf sleepers, and Mercy congratulated itself
Bureau-approved four-bar lullaby composed in A.S. 134 to replace criminalized comfort; its great triumph was stillness mistaken for sleep.
Codex Ref. XIII.1.86-134
Orison Licensing Acts A.S. 94
No private hymn, no innocent breath
A.S. 94 legal seizure of melody itself: the Acts made every cadence licensed or criminal and created the market they pretended to destroy.
Codex Ref. VII.2.10-094
Orphanarii
Mercy with a cot, a tag-punch, and the legal courage to rename a child before breakfast
The Orphanarii are the Synod's state orphanage system: Mercy houses that wash, tag, rename, sort, feed, place, and sometimes erase children until grief becomes legible.
Codex Ref. VIII.2.12-134
Pipeline Purists
The cot is a waiting room; the placement order is the purpose
The Pipeline Purists treat the Orphanarii as a route from cot to use: Registrars who prize swift placements, reconciled tags, and empty beds. The ledger records delivery more readily than harm.
Codex Ref. XI.1.05-004
The Order of the Root
Where family trees are pruned with forms, cuffs, and holy shears
The Order of the Root is the Synod's hereditary-contamination apparatus: kinship charts, child tags, bloodline review, and mercy sharpened into pruning shears.
Codex Ref. XI.1.05-001
Unauthorized Melody Smuggler
The lullaby the Bureau buried; the mouth it walks out of now
The Unauthorized Melody Smuggler is classified under Tongue-Crime, Melody Intent, Doctrinal Sabotage — above common theft, below armed heresy. The lullaby does not care what the Bureau calls it. It continues to walk out in someone else's mouth.
