Candle-Sump District (Lower Vire)
The gut of Lower Vire — it was supposed to be a drainage ditch
The gut of Lower Vire — a drainage ditch that metastasised into a district of forty-two thousand souls, where tallow feeds the wards above, bone tags stamp the dead into existence, and the crypt-route drafts murmur names no one asked to hear.
Codex Ref. II.1.05-001
Inquisitor Halvyr
White-Lung — a pending transfer to a district made of paper
White-Lung carries a portable audit press and burn authority. Candle-Sump awaits a transfer still moving through Purity's approval chain; the paper is endangered before the officer arrives.
Codex Ref. III.2.01-1459
Paper Loft Quarter
Where paper survives and sick clerks become scheduled maintenance
Candle-Sump's lofts keep ration slips, death receipts and washed names legible. Rot-lung consumes the clerks; the Registry records only scheduled maintenance.
